TRINA'S REACHED A NEW LOW

TRINA UNBUCKLES PANTS: SOUND OFF!
Article by: foxxylady

19th July 2003 ...was a big night for many youngsters in Monroe. For some it was a night out at Skatetown. For others, they enjoyed the evening with mom and dad at the movies viewing "Finding Nemo" and "Sinbad". However, some teenagers saw some things at the Monroe Civic Center that they would have never witnessed at the local movie theater.

Rapper Trina performed a concert in the Monroe Civic Center Arena. Originally scheduled fora Trina/Mystikal duo, she performed the show alone. What was originally set for a night of family-oriented entertainment, developed into a full-fledged erotic show on stage in front of a crowd of teenagers....some as young as 10-years-old. What happened?

At first the concert appeared to be a normal hip-hop event. That was until the rapper Trina called a participant out of the audience for a demonstration.

Lucky participant Edward Franklin, 23, was chosen to assist Trina in her stage performance. Before the eyes of the viewers in attendance, the rapper pulled out a water bottle, drank a bit and let the remainder drip into Franklin's mouth. Following that, Franklin's hands were held down in his chair by the performer's bodyguards while she straddled his face for about 15 seconds.
Then she climbed off of Franklin and began to rub on his chest and genital areas.
Trina proceeded to unbuckled Franklin's pants and commenced fondling his genitals. She made inferences that she was about to attempt oral sex, however she did not, for Franklin at that point removed himself from the chair.

Civic Center Director Chris Walters said that the incident was a surprise to her. She said that she spoke with the event promoters following the concert and they attested that Trina's actions were not planned. She said the show was supposed to be a family-oriented event.

"I had no idea that this sort of thing was going to happen. According to the original contract, this was supposed to be a family-oriented event," Walters said.

Walters was in the Arena when the incident took place. However, she said that her vision was obstructed when the action in question came to be. "I was there. I knew what happened, but I couldn't see everything. My vision was obstructed by others in front of me," she said.
Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo said Wednesday that he was unaware that the event took place. After being told of the situation, he said that this was not something he condoned. "No one brought this to my attention. We are trying to provide family-oriented events at the Civic Center. However, we don't advocate that type of entertainment (Trina event)......not even for adults," Mayo said.

City Attorney Tommy Gardner said that the incident may have been questionable but that it did not constitute obscenity. According to the City Code obscenity would have included an actual showing of the genitals. Since that was not the case, he said that the event would have to be based on community standards of public decency.

In male dominated concerts women are used as sexual objects as rappers will smack a womans' behind and fondle her but that type of behaviour is not questioned!

Is Trina's situation getting more attention because she is a woman, or does the Mayor bring up a good argument about decency laws? Because I know many men would love to be in the same position Edward Franklin was in!

Name That Girl

When Courtney Love said she'd been clean and sober for 365 days, apparently she didn't mean consecutively.

The rocker-actress was due back in drug rehab after breaking down in a Los Angeles courtroom Friday morning and admitting to a relapse that violated her probation and flew in the face of recent public denials.

Superior Court Judge Rand Rubin ordered Love to check into a 28-day treatment facility by 5 p.m. It could have been worse: Rubin talked aloud about sending Kurt Cobain's widow straight to jail, musing, "I think you need to hit rock bottom before you make a decision [about] what you're going to do in the future."

For the immediate future, Love is due back in court Sept. 16 for sentencing on a trio of probation violations. "I think you either need a long-term drug program, or a long term in county jail," Rubin warned.

Following the hearing, defense attorney Howard Weitzman told reporters that his star client was "serious," "sincere" and "pretty tenacious about getting her life in order."

Love's life seemed out of order back in July when she was rushed from a Hollywood hotel to a nearby hospital via an ambulance. At the time, the star's camp chalked up the scare to a general not-feeling-well malaise--nausea, dizziness, etc. But last week, the L.A. County District Attorney's Office said it suspected an unidentified "controlled substance" was at fault.

Given her legal status, Love can't afford such suspicions. The police-blotter frequenter is on probation for a misdemeanor assault conviction and two misdemeanor drug convictions. And while Love last month was found to be in compliance with the terms of one of the drug cases, Friday's admission of a slipup puts her in violation of all three.

Only eight months ago, Love, 41, was vowing to "move forward with [her] life in a healthy and positive way." Only a month ago, she was saying that her newly filled-out form was a sign that she was off drugs. Only 12 days ago, she was at the Comedy Central roast for Pamela Anderson, bellowing "I've been sober for a year!"

On Friday, there were no bold declarations, just a tear-choked voice when the judge asked if Love understood that she had violated her probation three times over by copping to drug use.

Replied Love: "Yes, your honor."
